Pixel Art (an intro to digital art)

Objectives:
1.  Define "Pixel" and describe the role it plays in creating digital images.
2. Create an image using pixels in Microsoft Excel.

Today's Lesson:
Hello, all!  Today's lesson is a brief introduction to the world of digital art.  We will begin by discussing what a "pixel" is and the many pixels it takes to create an image on a TV, computer or phone screen.  We will then create a basic image using "pixels" in Microsoft Excel.  Get ready to be artistic with pixels!

Step 2:  Right-Click here to download the Pixel Art Document.

Step 3:  Write the following in pixels:

1.  "Hi" -- Black
2.  "Red" -- Red with Black Background
3.  "Violet" --Purple with White Background and Pink Border.
4.  Your Name

Step 4:  Begin to work on your own Pixel Art!  Look at the examples below for ideas.
